Ear Seed Clinic
Notes From the Path: Ear Seed Clinic
I created the Ear Seed Clinic as a way for patients to reach out on the very day they need support. It’s a simple, Traditional Chinese Medicine–based offering for those moments when symptoms flare, anxiety spikes, or the body surprises you with a migraine, stiff neck, PMS, or any of life’s “oh, really… today?” discomforts. The clinic is meant to be a place you can turn to quickly—no waiting, no overthinking, just care when you need it.
Ear seeds themselves are tiny, natural vaccaria seeds set on a small adhesive sticker. With skilled acupuncture training, I locate the precise points on the ear that correspond to your symptoms and gently apply the seeds. They offer steady, continuous acupressure—support you can feel working long after you’ve left the clinic.
Acute Support Example
You wake up with a stiff neck. You’ve tried massaging it, taken a hot shower, rubbed on ointment, and still it nags—making it hard to move, drive, or focus. This is when you text or call me. You come in for a 15‑minute visit, say hello, take a seat, and I place the seeds on specific ear and body points to ease the pain. You leave them in for the day or up to 3–5 days, pressing them gently when the discomfort flares. The pain softens, the stiffness fades to the background, and you get on with your day.
Chronic Support Example
Some patients come every five days to refresh their seeds as part of their long‑term goals—weight loss, stress reduction, emotional steadiness, cravings, or hormonal balance. I place seeds on points for hunger, mood, cravings, and liver support to help the body process and release what it no longer needs. It becomes a rhythm, a steady companion to the work they’re already doing.
Why I Offer This
The Ear Seed Clinic is here to keep people moving toward their goals and to give them someone in their community they can call on during those tilt‑a‑whirl days—the ones where you wake up and the world feels slightly sideways for no good reason. I know those days well. I know what it’s like to go to bed one way and wake up another.
I also know the disorientation of grief—my mother passed when I was 25, and those years were full of moments where I felt lost, raw, and a little wild inside. I often think how comforting it would have been to know about ear seeds then, to call an acupuncturist who could see me that same day. Someone to help me steady myself, even just a little.
So I offer that now:
Same‑day appointments.
Fifteen minutes.
A price that doesn’t make you hesitate—$25.
No Needles, safe, effective, bring a friend
A small ritual of support, right when life decides to throw its curveballs.
